Using Positive Thinking To Make Friends

One of the most important things in life is having connections to other people. Friends and connections can lead us to a jobs, gives us someone to have fun with and confine in. It's very important that everyone reaches out and connects with others. But some of us, due to our childhood or other reasons, may not have as many friends as we'd like. This article can help anyone, from someone who has no friends, to someone who only has a few and would like more.

My Journey To Making Friends

At one point of time I too had a problem making friends. I was shy, guarded, had low self- esteem and felt I didn't deserve friends. I always would tell myself that I didn't need friends. But now I have a whole lot of friends. Nothing on the outside changed. The only thing that changed was my thoughts.

Positive Visualizations

One of the things that really helped was doing positive visualizations. Positive visualizations helps to program your mind to attract the things you want. I imagined myself laughing with people, talking with people, walking in big groups with friends all around me and enjoying myself with people. After a while I started to attract friends. But it was more than that. I also strarted to affrim that "I deserved friends". Also I affirmed that "I make friends easily." These two affirmations are powerly when attracting friends. You have to say it like you mean it and really feel as though you deserve friends.

Know You Deserve Friends

Not feeling deserving of friends sometimes, is the reason we don't have many friends. Since we feel underserving we may not reach out to attract friends. Also our lack of deserving may drawn people away from us. If you believe you don't deserve friends, so will others. If you carry yourself in a way that affirms you are good enough and deserve friends, others will believe it and be drawn to you.

Align Your Subconscious and Conscious Thoughts and Using Affirmations

Another problem I tend to see is people carry negative thoughts about having friends. They feel that having friends is unsafe. If I have friends they may not like me once they get to know me. Friends are backstabbers. Women are backstabbers. Female friends can't be trusted and they carry a lot of negative views about having friends. When you carry these views, you subconsciously put out energy, that makes you seem unapproachable. You may also put out energy subsciously that makes people feel you don't want friends. You may seem guarded or stuck up but in actuality, your just trying to protect yourself from being hurts. When you put out this protective energy you are telling the universe friends are bad. Keep me safe. Keep friends away. Using affirmations to reverse these thoughts would be beneficial. Friends are safe. Friends are a positive thing etc.

Once you change your subconscious thoughts to align with what you want, do the visualizations and affirmations you will slowly see yourself interacting with people different. Your energy will shift and you will be more allowing, to let people in. This will take about a month to start seeing changes. But you must also put in work. Reach out to people and say little things to let them know, you are open to friendship. Basically, don't make them do all the work. Just like you wouldn't want to put in all the work to make friends, nor does anyone else. Make things easier for them. If you follow these steps, you should be well on your way to making friends.
